Itameshi: An Italian-Japanese Culinary Playdate

We’re jetting off to Japan on January 30th for Itameshi in our second round of Culinary Playdates! After a year of sold-out fun, we’re back for more fusion magic. Expect a few familiar favorites, but we’ve got some fresh new playdates on the menu for 2025!
In Japan, Itameshi means “Italian food,” and at Luca, we’ve got that down to an art. This culinary phenomenon began in Yokohama, where fusion restaurants paired hearty Italian flavors with delicate Japanese artistry and punchy umami (think seafood-forward pizzas or ramen swirled in pecorino dashi).
